FOX Footy wins at AFL Media Awards

AFL 360 was named Most Outstanding Program at the AFL's very own awards night.

FOX Sports’ AFL 360 was named Most Outstanding Program at last night’s Australian Football Media Association Awards.

It was the fourth win for the show hosted by Gerard Whateley and Mark Robinson.

Robinson was also named Most Outstanding News Reporter for his work with the Herald Sun and the prestigious Alf Brown Award. AFL Tonight’s Jake Niall also won Most Outstanding Breaking News Report for his work with The Age.

FOX Footy commentator Dermott Brereton was awarded Most Outstanding Special Commentator – Television (Match & Program).

The Clinton Grybas Rising Star Award was presented to Ben Waterworth, AFL Digital Lead for foxsports.com.au.

FOX Footy’s Head of Programming and Production Michael Neill said: “We are incredibly honoured to be recognised by the Australian Football Media Association with four awards that highlight the great content – and talent – we have here at FOX Footy.

“It’s been a massive year for us, with record numbers tuning into our broadcasts, and this can only be achieved through a dedicated, talented and passionate team.”
