Will & Grace cast keep an open mind about reuniting for more -and read all the behind the scenes tidbits.

If you were beaming over the Will and Grace reunion video this week, then an article in the Hollywood Reporter will make you even happier.

Debra Messing, Eric McCormack, Sean Hayes and Megan Mullally had such a good time that they could well be open for more.

“There is no official talk. A lot of that started the past 36 hours on the internet, which can create its own crazy expectations. We had a great time. It’s a never say never type of situation. But at this point, there is no talk,” says McCormack.

“It was a love fest. We’ve kept in touch over the years but the four of us have not been in same room in 10 years. It was very emotional. The four of us were having this group hug and marveling at one another and the fact that we were all together and what we were about to do. When we walked on the set, it was a very intense moment. It was shocking to be back on that set with every little prop in place. It was surreal, exciting and certainly nostalgic,” Messing adds.

The article details in length how the reunion came about, was  under wraps, shot using the original set before an audience of 100 and directed (naturally) by Jim Burrows.

“The core of our skit was to just get involved, make your voice heard and vote,” Messing says, referring to the US Election.

This is a must read for W&G devotees.

  1. I loved it! It was Brilliant! I wish it had gone longer!
I’d love them to get back together again sometime & do something else.
Thanks David for a great article & the link to the other story. 🙂

  2. The original series had certainly run its course, and the final season in part did make up for the abysmal 7th season. This scene worked well partly because it broke continuity from the series with Stan referenced as being alive and still with Karen, and no mention of Leo, Vince, Ben or Lila. I did notice a few minor differences with the set, mainly the rear TV room.
