Rose Byrne and Damon Herriman will feature in the second season of improvised comedy series No Activity.

Also joining the cast are Chum Ehelepola (Rake), Anthony Hayes (The Slap), Susie Youssef (Here Come the Habibs) and Kim Gyngell (Jack Irish).

They join returning cast including Patrick Brammall, Darren Gilshenan, Dan Wyllie, David Field, Harriet Dyer and Genevieve Morris.

All six episodes will premiere on Stan on October 26.

The return of the comedy sensation promises more action, more romance, more … well, just more sitting around. Once again we join Detectives Stokes (Darren Gilshenan) and Hendy (Patrick Brammall) back on stakeout duty after last season’s catastrophic raid.

This time they’re assigned to the kidnapping of wealthy couple Elizabeth (Rose Byrne) and Bernie (Damon Herriman). Meanwhile Carol (Genevieve Morris) gets a new partner when April (Harriet Dyer) is promoted from Dispatch, and Bruce (David Field) and Jimmy (Dan Wyllie) are forced to come out of retirement.

We find out just how fine the “thin blue line” really is as No Activity Season 2 brings more hilarious and inappropriate discussion of life, sex, work, love, family, hopes, dreams, regrets and everything in between (including the tragic loss of an eel).

Rose Byrne starred in The Place Beyond the Pines, Bridesmaids, This is Where I Leave You and most recently Bad Neighbours 2 and X-Men: Apocalypse. She has also received two Golden Globe and two Emmy Award nominations for Damages.

Damon Herriman starred in the acclaimed TV series Justified and most recently appeared in Stan’s Golden Globe-nominated Flesh and Bone. His film credits include The Lone Ranger, J. Edgar and The Little Death.

No Activity is an improvised comedy series from Jungle, the team behind Here Come the Habibs, A Moody Christmas and Review with Myles Barlow. The series is created by Trent O’Donnell and Patrick Brammall, written and directed by O’Donnell, and was developed together with Darren Gilshenan and David Field. Chloe Rickard is producer, and Jason Burrows, Trent O’Donnell, Patrick Brammall, Nick Forward and Rob Gibson are executive producers.
