US Presidential Debate on BBC World News

BBC World News guide to the remaining US Presidential Debates.


BBC World News has updated info for coverage of the remaining US Presidential Debates.

Kicking off with the Vice Presidential Debate next Tuesday, all debates will begin at 12.00pm AEDT.

BBC News in the U.S. has announced special coverage of the presidential and vice-presidential debates. Coverage will include analysis with a uniquely impartial and global perspective from the BBC’s 2016 election campaign team, drawing on the expertise of its seasoned U.S. based correspondents and journalists.

All debates will begin at 12.00pm AEDT across the BBC’s international news outlets. In the studio, the BBC’s Katty Kay (@kattykay) will be anchoring live television coverage on BBC World News for audiences around the world of the debates on 10 and 20 October, with the BBC’s Laura Trevelyan presenting coverage of the vice presidential debate on 5 October.

For online audiences, there will be live updates on the BBC’s special election pages bbc.com/US2016 where the BBC’s Anthony Zurcher (@awzurcher ) will cover the debates with all the latest analysis.

The debates will broadcast as follows:

Wednesday, October 5, 2016
Vice presidential debate at Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia.

Monday, October 10, 2016
Second presidential debate at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.

Thursday, October 20, 2016
Third presidential debate at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

In addition, BBC World News will broadcast 45 minute highlights packages at 7.00pm AEDT for those unable to catch the debates live.
