Airdate: RAW Comedy 2016

Nazeem Hussain will host the RAW Comedy 2016 in which emerging comedians at open mic nights will compete for a national title and the chance to appear in Edinburgh.

Previous RAW competitors include Ronny Chieng, Celia Pacquola, Hannah Gadsby and Matt Okine.

RAW Comedy 2016 hits the road again with a colossal amount of hilarity as the best comedians gather for the biggest event in the 2016 Melbourne International Comedy Festival calendar.

It’s the place for new comedy talent to spread their wings and battle it out for the title of RAW Comedy National Champion.

Airing on SBS 2 over four weeks, this year’s RAW Comedy is hosted by Nazeem Hussain and features finalists selected from Australia’s largest open mic competition conducted across eight states and regional centres.

The ultimate RAW Comedy National Champion will be whisked off to Edinburgh for the world’s largest Fringe Festival and a spot in the coveted So You Think You’re Funny? competition.
