FilmVic honours local Screen Leaders

Fiona Eagger and Deb Cox, Ian Anderson, Alison Nisselle and Greg McLean recognised in Victorian screen industry awards.

Last night Film Victoria held their annual 2016 Screen Leader Awards:

Jill Robb Award – Fiona Eagger and Deb Cox of Every Cloud Productions (Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries, Gods of Wheat Street) were acknowledged for their outstanding leadership, achievement and service to the industry.

John Howie Award – Ian Anderson for his post production expertise in the finish of Australian classics including Muriel’s Wedding, The Castle, The Secret Life of Us, Tomorrow, When the War Began and Oddball

Jan Sardi Award (inaugural award) – Alison Nisselle for her significant achievements as a screenwriter. Her credits include television dramas Phoenix, Janus, Bed of Roses and the feature film Healing among others

Fred Schepisi Award (inaugural award) – Greg McLean for his achievements in directing on Wolf Creek, Rogue and most recently The Belko Experiment which screened at Toronto International Film Festival.

Jenni Tosi was also reappointed to the role of Film Victoria CEO.

“We’re incredibly proud to honour Fiona Eagger, Deb Cox, Ian Anderson, Greg McLean and Alison Nisselle with their respective awards. Their achievements and leadership will inspire others in Victoria’s screen community,” she said.

“Our 2015 / 16 annual results highlight the talent and creativity that exists here in Victoria, across all sectors and we congratulate all those who contributed to this success.”
