“Goliath” resting ok after Telethon turn

Matt Parkinson, better known as The Chase‘s very own Goliath, was taken to hospital during Telethon in Perth on Saturday night.

Entertainment reporter Peter Ford told 3AW there was a concern during a ‘speed-dating’ style event at the Lexus Ball.

“He had a heart scare and was rushed off to hospital,” he said.

“He’s going to be ok. The doctors have given him the all-clear to fly back to Melbourne. But it was a momentary worry there for everybody that he just suddenly dropped in the way he did.”

“Matt is in great shape, resting comfortably and enjoying Telethon,” a Seven spokesperson said earlier.

Seven confirmed Parkinson underwent some testing, the results of which will be known later this week.
