An episode of Law an Order: SVU which sees a Presidential candidate (Gary Cole) accused of sexual allegations, will now air in the US after the upcoming election.
Variety claims NBC made the decision on Friday amid the extraordinary atmosphere of at least four women coming forward with stories of groping or sexual assault against Republican candidate, Donald Trump.
“Unstoppable” was written months ago and completed production more than a month ago, but the network did not want to appear to be taking a position on Trump’s guilt or innocence amid the cascade of allegations from women.
The episode is said to have undergone story adjustments along the way, believed to have softened the portrayal of the character, changes that raised eyebrows among some SVU writers and actors.
The shuffling of dates is said to have forced some quick insert shots to deal with continuity conflicts once the show was pulled out of its planned rotation.
NBC has not yet set a new date for the episode.
Law an Order: SVU returns to TEN at 9pm this Thursday.

What a shock to see NBC help out Trump. They had the ‘p***y’ video for almost a week and didn’t reveal it, it took other companies to do it.
And now, they won’t show an episode of a tv show because it could be construed as a slight against Trump.
Man, I can’t wait for The Apprentice next year when they have Trump back.
Not sure if there would be another season of TA regardless of election outcome.
Will Ten show the episodes in the original order, or will they be forced by this change too?
TEN would not play until after the US. This now becomes the original order anyway.
