The fourth and final season of Rectify, featuring Aden Young, is returning to SBS next week, but will be fast-tracked to SBS on Demand ahead of its broadcast.
It will screen on SBS from 11:35pm Monday October 31 but will be available at SBS on Demand from Friday, 28 October, with new episodes each week.
It premieres in the US on Thursday.
For the past three seasons, Rectify has followed the story of Daniel Holden (Aden Young), a former death row inmate who struggles to adjust to life in a small Georgia town following his release from prison, thanks to DNA evidence calling his 19-year conviction for the rape and murder of his girlfriend, Hanna, into question.
Season four of Rectify follows Daniel’s new life in Nashville, where he’s still navigating the complicated dynamics of group living at The New Canaan Project. Sensing his lack of connection, his housemates, challenge him to engage. Daniel seeks counsel from Avery, the group leader, an act that leads to a personal revelation.
The compelling story is coming to an end.

Nothing happened in series three. At the end of series two he agreed to leave the town and at the end of the third series he was still about to leave. Slowest TV show ever. However it’s worth watching for Abigail Spencer alone.
Good stuff. I see that even SBS has now adopted 11:30pm as the standard start time for quality drama. First season was at 9:30 and last season was at 10:30pm. Shame that it’s been bumped for a repeat of Miracle of Nature.
Great news. Loved that show.
