Next Monday Prime regional stations will screen the special Ice: The Scourge of Regional Australia.

Produced by Prime7 News, it sees veteran host Ray Martin in regional NSW, Victoria, Western Australia and Queensland hearing from those affected by ice addiction – families, victims, doctors, police, rehabilitation staff, emergency workers, and the addicts themselves.

It reveals a generation at risk of spiralling into a life of drug abuse, crime and in some cases early death.

Ray Martin said, “I thought I’d read enough about the drug problems in regional areas, but until you get amongst it, you don’t realise how these tight-knit communities are being torn apart. I was astonished at how widespread and common ice use is in some of the most beautiful spots in Australia. Like me, this special will concern you, provoke you and certainly make you think.”
