SBS chef Peter Kuruvita begins his new series Peter Kuruvita’s Coastal Kitchen next week.

The six part series is based on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.

Peter Kuruvita’s Coastal Kitchen is a celebration of Peter’s new sea change lifestyle and local produce in the Sunshine Coast and hinterlands.

Having bid farewell to city life and moved to the tropical seaside town of Noosa, chef and restaurateur, Peter Kuruvita heads out to meet the community of passionate producers to discover more about the fresh local produce that has made this region one of the most exciting new foodie destinations in Australia.

Heading back to his kitchen, Peter transforms rich, local ingredients like spanner crabs, Mooloolaba prawns, macadamia nuts, tropical fruits, heirloom vegetables, native herbs and spices and more into a delightful array of dishes for any occasion.

Episode One: Home Grown
Since moving to the Sunshine Coast, Peter and his family haven’t looked back. So Peter begins his journey by visiting family-owned and run farms in the Sunshine Coast before transforming their produce into family friendly dishes including his own Kuruvita family favourite, Pho, using Thai Basil picked from his own garden.
