17 year old NSW teen Aleyna FitzGerald (pictured left) has won the title of Australia’s Next Top Model 2016.
She defeated fellow 17 year old Sabine Jamieson in a final challenge with an Elle cover shoot.
But it was a tight final. Aleyna’s photo scored a 29.5 points whilst scored 29 points.
She wins a one-year contract with Priscilla’s Model Management, a trip to New York Fashion Week, a new car and the Elle editorial spread.
“I’m on top of the world. It’s incredible. Thank you guys so much for everything you’ve done for me,” she said.
The finale at Carriageworks included the biggest catwalk the show had ever featured including season contestants and past participants. Hosted by Jennifer Hawkins with Megan Gale and Alex Perry, this year’s finale was pre-recorded, instead of Live to air.
The 10th season hasn’t attracted the same level of media coverage or ratings as previous cycles, but as Foxtel’s longest-running reality show it remains a heritage brand for the Pay TV provider.
On social media the show was still trending last night, with viewers divided over who was the more deserving winner.

Aleyna was a well deserved winner. I believe she has the best runway walk of all 10 seasons.
As to the best layout pic to choose the winner.. I’m not sure that’s the best format to use.
