CBS has ordered six extra episodes of new US sitcom The Great Indoors, which is coming to TEN.

It stars Joel McHale as a globe-trotting adventurer now in charge of a group of bored and precious millennials in the digital publishing department and Stephen Fry as the founder of an outdoors adventure magazine.

The order brings the run up to 19 episodes, slightly shorter than the usual 22 as it started late in the season.

The show has attracted an average of 8.2million US viewers over its first three episodes, a solid performance in its Thursday night slot, buoyed by its Big Bang Theory lead-in.

It will air on TEN in 2017.

  1. Wow, I expected it to be axed after episode one, two at a stretch. I couldn’t even tolerate the entire 22mins of the first episode. If you liked ‘Til Death, you’ll love this.
