Discovery Kids will premiere a new local production, ACE: Animal Countdown Extraordinaire featuring former Saturday Disney and Totally Wild presenter Jack Yabsley.
Set on-board a swashbuckling steampunk airship, Jack and HMS Buccaneer count down ten of the most extraordinary animals on the planet, searching for everything from the freakiest fliers, the wackiest racers and baddest bites; to the toughest babies, disgusting diets and the deadliest animals the world has ever seen.
Each episode features animals, from grizzly bears and ostriches, to kangaroos, and cheetahs. The series is produced by NHNZ for Discovery Networks.
“2016 has been Discovery Networks’ biggest year of local productions on record and I’m thrilled to see that reinforced with the addition of a new locally created series on Discovery Kids,” said Mandy Pattinson, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Australia, New Zealand & Pacific Islands, Discovery Networks Asia Pacific.
“We’re proud to be expanding our offering for Australian Subscription TV audiences with a series that will inspire young minds and ignite their natural curiosity.”
Monday 26 December at 6.20pm on Discovery Kids.
