Jerry Seinfeld to tour Australia

Jerry Seinfeld is to bring his stand-up act to Australia for the first time since 1998.

The much-loved sitcom star will perform in Perth on August 4 2017 with other cities to follow.

In 1998 he caused a stir when he jokingly referred to Melbourne as being the anus of the world. He later denied making the statement.

He returned in 2007 to promote Bee Movie. In 2009, he visited to shoot a TV commercial for a bank which services northern NSW and south-east Queensland.
