The family from 'improvised' UK comedy have filmed their first new episode in nearly three years.

The family from UK comedy Outnumbered have filmed a Christmas special -the first new episode in nearly three years.

Set on Boxing Day, the plot for the new edition features the Brockman family facing ‘car problems, child problems, parent problems, emotional problems and World War Two.’

Stars Hugh Dennis, Claire Skinner, Tyger Drew-Honey, Daniel Roche and Ramona Marquez all return, with the script again written, directed and produced by by creators Andy Hamilton and Guy Jenkin.

The semi-improvised comedy ran for five seasons, screening in Australia on ABC. Now word yet on when it will screen in Australia.

  1. This was ground-breaking comedy, which unfortunately lost some of its magic when the children started to grow up. It will be interesting to see this special.
