Oh the pain….
Lost in Space is clearly going for wholesale reimagining when it comes to Netflix in 2018.
Actress Parker Posey (Mascots, Columbus) will play stowaway Dr. Smith.
Perhaps the role is going back to its roots when Dr. Smith was a much darker villain, as originally portrayed by Jonathan Harris?
Also cast are Toby Stephens as John Robinson, Molly Parker as Maureen Robinson, Taylor Russell as Judy Robinson and Maxwell Jenkins as Will Robinson.

Why can’t they just leave characters alone, I can’t imagine this Dr Smith saying “oh the pain, and “you bubble headed booby”
Worked for Battlestar Galactica with Starbuck, still remember the outcry before the show aired.
Oh no,i don’t get all the hate for Dr Smith.He made that show into a camp classic.Without him it would have just been another run of the mill sci fi series.
I enjoyed Lost in Space, but loathed the character of Dr Smith. I would’ve been happy if this reboot actually *booted off* the character altogether.
I was really hoping they’d leave Dr. Smith out of the re-boot, while he was the centre of many stories it became the same old thing time and time again, which got boring very quickly for me.
I can never understand changing the gender of such an iconic character. Maybe this version of Dr Smith with finally have a romance with the robot.
