Returning: Halt and Catch Fire

Season 3 of Halt and Catch Fire begins on Showcase later this month.

This is quite a late debut given the series returned in the US in August.

A fourth and final season has since been confirmed for 2017.

Set in the early 1980s, this series dramatizes the personal computing boom through the eyes of a visionary, an engineer and a prodigy whose innovations directly confront the corporate behemoths of the time. Their personal and professional partnership will be challenged by greed and ego while charting the changing culture in Texas’ Silicon Prairie. In Season 3 Mutiny leaves Texas for the big leagues of Silicon Valley. Founders Cameron and Donna search for the idea that will launch Mutiny as a significant industry player, but new collaborators test their partnership. Gordon struggles to find a place within his wife’s company as Joe builds upon his empire, reinventing himself with a bold play that shocks the Valley and sends him back into the lives of his former partners.
