Secret Daughter underpins Seven’s Monday

Ratings: Seven's numbers rise on last Monday while numbers for Nine will need to be adjusted.

Last night’s preliminary ratings for Nine, which indicate a First Test match, are not correct given it ran A Current Affair and The Block. Nevertheless as the share indicates, what ran was not enough to halt Seven from winning the night, thanks in no small part to the Secret Daughter final.

The Secret Daughter finished with 795,000, about 100,000 up on last week and enough to win its timeslot. It rose above The X Factor‘s lead in (732,000) which was also up on last Monday, as it sent 2 acts Chynna and Brentwood packing.

Have You Been Paying Attention? drew 687,000 for TEN and topped all 3 demos, up on last week by 114,000.

Australian Story was also up on last week, rising from 697,000 to 787,000.

Seven network won Monday with 30.0% then Nine 25.2%, TEN 19.5%, ABC 19.2% and SBS 6.1%.

In preliminary numbers Nine News (870,000) led for Nine followed by Hyde & Seek (741,000), First Test (711,000 / 421,000 / 314,000) and Australian Crime Stories was 338,000.

  1. What – so Nine seriously showed the Block episode that was meant to air tonight Tuesday night last night when so many would bother checking as the cricket was meant to be on – defies logic? Busy last night, left Nine on in the background and noticed The Block on but assumed it was just an hour filler of highlights or something. Noticed the Foxtel EPG had changed but not sure if my TIVO updated and will have the full recording of Hyde and Seek or half of it? Thankfully there are repeats… but honestly – what is it with Nine and programming anything after live sport or when cricket finishes earlier? It’s all getting too hard… (or I’m just getting too old!).

    1. No you’re not too old! It gets frustrating that the networks keep us guessing.
The adverts for 60 years of Free TV say we need this industry, I believe the networks are doing all the damage turning viewers off!!

  2. Brilliant I missed the Block and Hyde and Seek (I accounted for some overrun but not 30mins)!
Perhaps a repeat tonight since I am not at home to record and did check the EPG that was not accurate!
Seriously!!!(Just when I thought 9 was making some progress with accurate start time for their dramas!)

  3. Iggy not standing for Dami and then stating that it would be easier next week if she didn’t have any body left was so rude and disrespectful to practically everybody. The vitriol towards her on the x factor facebook page is unrelenting and the look on Guy’s face towards her, I thought he was going to drop the f bomb

  4. The Block was on?! Damn you Nine for not updating your EPG! Thankfully Nine is the only commercial network to have Chromecast support for its mobile app so I can catch up tonight.

    1. Yeah, really poor. Missed half of Hyde and Seek too as it was on much later than scheduled.
I presume that Block ep will be screened again tonight?
Surely they could have put a repeat of something on instead.
