Even in summer and on a public broadcaster shows are not immune from programming changes.

ABC has pushed UK drama The Level back from it’s 8:30pm tonight to 10pm.

Last Friday it rated 288,000 viewers, with ABC’s primary channel beaten by GO!

In its place is a replay of Vera. The final episode of The Politician’s Husband (which is also a repeat) is now back to 11:40pm.

  1. Don’t see what the point is in bumping the very last episode.
If the series had just started maybe…
Agree it is very ordinary – the best thing about it has been Phil Glenister’s very brief appearance in the first ep. The girl playing the lead is quite good – I recognise her face from “Misfits.”

    1. I can’t understand how a repeat can displace a new program on the national broadcaster. Is it ratings? Is it because they just want to destroy the continuity before they sell the rights to Foxtel? Is because an ABC exec in WA doesn’t want to miss that episode?

      1. While ABC is not beholden to ratings, it’s not a good use of public money for the main channel to have so few viewers for an 8:30pm program.

I didn’t like the show. I found it too soapy and not very credible.
