Catch a glimpse of the wonderful Debbie Reynolds when she appeared on The Don Lane Show during the 1970s, with Sammy Davis Jr.
In this brief moment, Bert Newton upstages both (trying to remember if he was impersonating Sinatra here… someone may recall….).
Reynolds performed her act in Australia several times, including at the infamous Swagman Restaurant in Ferntree Gully.
She died today aged 84, just a day after daughter Carrie Fisher.

In another youtube clip…a bit longer than this…after he hugs Sammy…he shows him his hands with a ring on every finger…they both laugh………he may have been sending Sammy himself up…which he did with guests on the show….or maybe Liberace…this was long before the film but Debbie knew him..?!?
I saw Debbie in concert at the Regent Theatre in Sydney in the early 1980s. She was absolutely wonderful in concert. Singing, dancing, impersonations of people like Barbra Streisand & comedy. She did it all. She will be sorely missed but Carrie needs her more.
