FOX Classics remembers Debbie Reynolds

Foxtel replays Bill Collins special -and a Star Wars pop-up channel with Carrie Fisher.

Foxtel will amend it’s New Year’s Eve programming to pay tribute to Debbie Reynolds, who passed away yesterday, a day after she lost daughter, Carrie Fisher.

In a three hour programming tribute, FOX Classics will screen the Australian special, An Audience With Debbie Reynolds, hosted by Bill Collins.

In the special, recorded in Sydney in front of a studio audience, she reflects on her life in show business, and the many stars she worked with over the years. It features clips from her most famous roles and anecdotes about Hollywood’s “golden years.”

In honouring the late star, Bill Collins said, “I am saddened at the loss of Debbie Reynolds, she was a true star. I liked her style, manner, her way, her charm. I have always liked her, she was one of the nicest ladies on the screen.

“One of the highlights was having met her and to host her at our studios for a candid and delightful hour of lively discussion and many laughs. I am so pleased to share those moments again this Saturday night when we will encore An Audience With Debbie Reynolds,” he said.

The special will be followed by “Singin’ In The Rain”.

The special event programming line up for this Saturday night is as follows:-
