Playmaker Media to produce Chinese thriller

SPT’s Playmaker Media (The Wrong Girl, House Husbands, The Code) is to produce a Mandarin language action thriller for Chinese streaming platform iQIYI.

The project is an adaptation of US drama Chosen (pictured), made for Crackle, and follows a family that becomes drawn into a deadly game that ultimately brings them closer together. The US series features Chad Michael Murray, Milo Ventimiglia, Brandon Routh, Rose McGowan and Aussie Nicky Whelan.

The adaptation has support from Screen NSW and will be shot entirely in Australia.
