FOX Sports News this week announced five new shows as part of a new line-up for 2017.

Former Sports Tonight presenter Bill Woods and former Socceroo Mark Bosnich have teamed up for Bill & Boz at 9.30pm from Sunday through to Wednesday night. They will be joined by sports stars to delve deeper into the day’s sporting headlines.

FOX Sports presenter, Louise Ransome (pictured), hosts the creatively-titled Tomorrow’s News Tonight with Louise Ransome from February 6. A rotating panel of personalities will discuss the day’s big sporting stories and look ahead to tomorrow’s news at 6pm from Monday to Thursday.

Further announcements are as follows:

Matt Suleau, Abbey Gelmi and Katherine Loughnan will team up every weekday morning from 6am to take a fast paced look at the morning’s sporting news on Fox Fix, launching tomorrow morning (Monday 23 January).

Two new shows commence at the beginning of March to analyse all of the action across the weekend.

Pat Stack and Tom Wilson will share hosting duties for Fulltime Live with Pat Stack / Tom Wilson, at 9.30pm on Friday and Saturday and 6pm on Sundays.

Neroli Meadows will host Gameday Live with Neroli Meadows; an in-depth, two hour preview and review of the weekend’s action, featuring guest panellists from 8am on Saturday and Sunday, beginning March 4.

Following successful seasons in 2016, AFL Tonight and NRL Tonight return to the schedule in 2017 on February 27.

  1. Hmm, as sports was and still is the primary reason I subscribe to Foxtel (via Optus) the prospect of possible revisions in their sports coverage, which reading between the lines looks a possibility with the inclusion of these filler shows, would not be good news. Competition in events bidding is not going to make Fox Sports an exclusive content provider as last year revealed with Premier League Soccer. Hopefully,Foxtel will also see the light soon and provide HD upgrades at much lower prices.

  2. Good to hear that Bill Woods is back on our screens. He was last seen on the sports-news panel show – SportsFan Clubhouse that aired on SevenMate until late 2015. He was great on that show, as well as on Sports Tonight.

I don’t have pay tv, but hopefully can stream some episodes of Bill & Boz online from time to time.

(On a side note – I miss the good old days when fta had more generic sports shows on air, like Sports Tonight on Ten; World Sports on SBS after the news; Sports World on Sunday mornings on Seven and The Monday Dump with Roy & HG on Seven).
