Nine News reporter’s close brush with carnage driver

Reporter Neary Ty was Live on the Today show when a man in a maroon car drove into view.

Early yesterday morning Nine News reporter Neary Ty had a close brush with the man later arrested over the CBD carnage in Melbourne, which led to the deaths of 4 people and at least 20 more injured.

Ty was doing a Live cross to the Today show following a stabbing in Windsor when a man in a maroon car drove into view.

“He started ranting and raving, and also waving his red cap out of the car,” she explained.

“At the time I was Live on air so I couldn’t really see what was going on.”
