US drama American Horror Story had been renewed for not 1 -but 2 more seasons.
The series by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, will reach its 9th season.
“American Horror Story launched the modern limited series revolution and – as evidenced by the most recent installment ‘Roanoke’ – it remains as vital today as when Murder House stunned audiences six years ago,” said FX Networks CEO John Landgraf. “Each new chapter is a cultural event, beloved for every new twist in imagery, style, cast and plot.”
“When Ryan and Brad came to us seven years ago with the idea for a horror series structured as an anthology, with a group of actors returning year after year, in different roles, settings and time periods, we were in awe of the sheer originality and ambition of their vision,” said FOX TV Group Chairmen and CEOs Dana Walden and Gary Newman. “They’ve since delivered six fantastic installments which have rightfully attracted millions of viewers, critical raves and dozens of awards.”
Meanwhile American Crime Story: Katrina has moved to 2018. American Crime Story‘s Versace edition, it will air within six months after Katrin, even though Versace will go into production first.

Can’t wait. I’ve watched every season right through and welcome more.
Last Season was S**t…. that’s my review.
Loved the only 2 I’ve seen, Murder House and Coven.
The last season was a return to form after that Hotel mess, but I’m surprised they still have original stories left to tell.
I have found that the later seasons start interestingly and creepily enough, but do downhill quite quickly. For me, the first season, “Murder House” is the best. The actors’ talents were a little wasted in “Roanoke”.
I think I won’t bother with the next AHS season, after the highs of Murder House and Asylum, (and in part ‘Freak Show’) no other season has lived up to these, they’ve been boring, slow, convoluted and I have dropped off mid season.
