Phew. Showrunner was not being literal when he teased the next American Horror Story.

Prolific showrunner Ryan Murphy has clarified his recent comments surrounding plans for American Horror Story‘s 7th season.
Recently he told Watch What Happens the next season “is going to be about the election that we just went through so I think that will be interesting for a lot of people.”
But now he tells IndieWire he was not being literal.
“The themes of American Horror Story have always been allegories. You will not see [Donald] Trump and [Hillary] Clinton as characters on the show,” he said.
Adding to context to is remarks given on Watch What Happens, Murphy explained:
“They gave me three martinis in 20 minutes! That’s not good.”
