Spielberg presents a doco on how John Ford, William Wyler, John Huston, Frank Capra, & George Stevens used film to fight WWII.

Netflix screens a three-part documentary, Five Came Back, telling the extraordinary story of how Hollywood changed World War II – and how World War II changed Hollywood, thanks to five legendary filmmakers who sought to bring the truth to the American people.

The five directors featured are John Ford, William Wyler, John Huston, Frank Capra, and George Stevens.

Based on Mark Harris’ best-selling book, “Five Came Back: A Story of Hollywood and the Second World War,” this is is directed by Laurent Bouzereau, written by Mark Harris, executive produced by Steven Spielberg, Scott Rudin and Barry Diller, and narrated by Meryl Streep.

Featuring interviews with:
– Steven Spielberg,
– Francis Ford Coppola,
– Guillermo Del Toro,
– Paul Greengrass and
– Lawrence Kasdan.

Friday March 31 on Netflix.
