Airdate: She Shot TV

To mark International Women's Day, Channel 31 Melbourne is showcasing women who work in film, television and online.

To mark International Women’s Day Channel 31 Melbourne is screening She Shot TV with a special premiere episode featuring indigenous filmmakers: director Rachel Perkins and upcoming writer and artist Kat Clarke.

Unique on Australian TV and online platforms, She Shot TV is produced by women and showcases women in the film, television and online industries who bring stories to audiences around the world. The series is hosted by Stella Dimadis with Chris Keogh as director.

Over eight episodes, the series will feature cinematographers, composers, writers, online content creators, directors and animators. Guests include Naomi Elkin-Jones, Koraly Dimitriadis, Iolanthe Gabrie plus many more talented women who are making an impact on Australia’s creative industry.

The series will culminate on April 26 with coverage of the inaugural She Shot International Women’s Micro Film Festival, a short film festival for women directors.

She Shot TV is produced by Triurban Media, a local production company established in 2016 as a response to the limited production companies in Australia that were run by women. The series was filmed in the C31 studios, with funding support from the CBF.
