Bill Paxton died from stroke after surgery

Bill Paxton died from a stroke 11 days after surgery to replace a heart valve and repair damage to his aorta, according to reports.

A death certificate says the Training Day, Big Love actor died on February 25th. He was 61.

Paxton is set to appear in the upcoming sci-fi film The Circle along with Tom Hanks and Emma Watson, due for release in April.

The future for Training Day, currently screening in Australia on Seven, is yet to be confirmed.
