Casting: Shemar Moore, Archie Panjabi.

Shemar Moore signs up for the rebooted S.W.A.T. and Archie Panjabi joins a pilot surrounding campus sexual assault.

Former Criminal Minds star Shemar Moore will feature in the rebooted cop series S.W.A.T.

The series is based on the 2003 feature film of the same name which itself was inspired by the 1975 series produced by Aaron Spelling.

Moore plays Daniel ‘Hondo’ Harrelson, played by Samuel L. Jackson in the feature film. He is described as a lieutenant torn between loyalty to the streets and duty to his fellow officers who runs a highly trained unit that is the last stop for solving crimes in Los Angeles. Moore will also be credited as a producer.

Meanwhile Archie Panjabi (The Good Wife, The Fall) will star in an as-yet-untiled drama pilot for FOX, which tackles the hot topic of college campus sexual assault. It centres on Matt Kincaid (Austin Stowell), the Junior Counsel of a prestigious Illinois university who must deal with an out-of-control scandal when a female student accuses several star football players of sexual assault.

Panjabi will play a crisis management consultant brought in to help with the scandal.
