Grant Denyer in good spirits after rally crash

Grant Denyer was airlifted to hospital, following a crash during the Lake Mountain Sprint in Marysville.

Grant Denyer was airlifted to hospital, along with co-driver Dale Moscatt, following a crash during the Lake Mountain Sprint in Marysville.

TEN yesterday said, the Family Feud host is in “good spirits” despite the crash.

“Grant walked away from the crash and was then airlifted to a Melbourne hospital as a precaution for assessment,” the statement read.

“Grant has sustained bruising to his lower back while Dale has a suspected broken leg. Grant is walking around and is in good spirits.”

The Australian Tarmac Rally Championship said in a  statement:;

There was an incident today during a competition stage involving Grant Denyer and Dale Moscatt on stage 12 of the Lake Mountain Sprint, Round 2 of the Australian Tarmac Rally Championship.

Both occupants were removed safely from the vehicle by Racesolutions Motorsport medical and safety team and transported by Race Solutions to a purpose setup medical centre for assessment.

They have been transported to Melbourne with minor injuries following a detailed description of assessment to Ambulance Victoria.

Families have been notified and every one at the Australian Tarmac Rally Championship wishes both Grant and Dale a speedy recovery.

In 2008, he a shattered his vertebrae while doing a monster truck jump demonstration.

On the weekend Denyer became a nominee for the Gold Logie award.
