Canadian detective series Murdoch Mysteries has been renewed for an eleventh season.
Public broadcaster CBC and UKTV have renewed the series for 18 new episodes and a two-hour Christmas special.
The period drama stars Yannick Bisson, as Detective William Murdoch of the Toronto constabulary.
Based on the series of novels by noted author Maureen Jennings, it airs in Australia on 13th Street and later on 7TWO.

I think we are still on Season 1 and these are repeats!
I am happy to hear this news. I love this show, I don’t think it gets the recognition it deserves. Looking forward to the next season. I’m not sure what season we are actually up to.
Season 4 on Foxtel, so unless there is a FTA channel with a more up to date version it will take a few months of binge viewing to catch up. No surprises for critics of Foxtels and FTA programming.

I just occasionally watch the late afternoon show which is season 4 at the moment.
Foxtel are currently 4 episodes behind the UK. Episode 14 airs on Tuesday.
