Renewed: The Good Fight

Good Wife spin-off gets a second season ...but Australia is still waiting for the first.

The Good Wife spin-off, The Good Fight, is getting a second season in the US but Australian viewers are still waiting for a network to commit to the first.

The series, featuring Christine Baranski, Cush Jumbo, and Rose Leslie has been renewed by CBS for its subscription service, CBS All Access. Jane Lynch was recently announced as joining the cast.

“We’re only a few episodes into the first season and the reaction from CBS All Access subscribers and critics alike has been phenomenal,” said Marc DeBevoise, President and Chief Operating Officer, CBS Interactive. “This series and its characters are just beginning and we can’t wait to see where Robert and Michelle King, their creative team and the amazing cast take The Good Fight next.”

The series is yet to be confirmed in Australia despite TEN’s output deal with CBS.

Foxtel has also confirmed it does not have the rights to the series, and it is yet to surface on any of the streaming players.

While The Good Wife may not have been a ratings blockbuster in recent years, it built up a loyal following, with many readers at TV Tonight indicating they wanted to see The Good Fight.

  1. After the first ep I thought it was a bit meh but then I got to the 4th and realised how much fun I was having watching it, the quality is high and its great that a number of guest actors from TGW are making an appearance
