10 Comments:

  1. Extremely close between Seven & Nine still between Sundays & Tuesdays!

Seven got the overall win, but Nine pipped them (0.3%) in main channel.

Thanks to multi-channels. MKR was also up, whilst Married dropped. Nine’s late night is also bombing (not even 200k for Celebrity Apprentice).

  2. Love Travel Guides and great to see it doing so well, winning it’s time slot and doing so well in the demographics. IMHO this is the best new show on TV this year so far. Narrow win for nine’s main channel and a narrow win for network seven as a whole.

  3. bettestreep2008

I don’t watch TBL-T , but I have never seen such a viscious campaign against a TV show before. Ever since it premiered the knives have been out to destoy the show, the hosts and the contestants. Whoever agreed to the changes to the format should be shown the door. Just heard that Family Feud special will replace it on Thursday night and Modern Family eps will replace it on Sunday night. I think Ten has nothing else until MCA commences. And from the promos I think MCA will be on much sooner than originally planned.

    • Family Feud was always scheduled to appear tomorrow, even before TBL premiered. This is because the show launched on a Tuesday after I’m a Celebrity and was due to be Sun – Thurs in week 2 (this week). That said, TEN has now switched it back to Mon – Thurs with Modern Family on Sundays.

    • Nathan of Dogtown

I think the contestants of a normal size have bitten them hard, and smacks of hypocrisy. In an article last year Fiona Falkiner came out and said that the size 12 she was after the show was not realistic, and her fuller size 16 is a much healthier option.
Now the show has a contestant who only “needs” to drop 8kg for a “bikini body”???

    • I’m sorry but I can’t agree with the first part. Knives out vicious attack against the hosts and contestants – um, I don’t think so

    • Certainly nowadays a show has to hit top numbers in the first episode or everyone lays into it, predicting axing within 24 hours. I wish the networks would show more faith, because bumping shows etc just reinforces that it isn’t worth watching. It is a self-fulfilling prophecy.
