UK drama Cold Feet has marked its 20th Anniversary.
Viewers were first introduced to friends Adam and Rachel, Pete and Jenny, Karen and David, on March 30th 1997.
After five series running to 2003, it returned to in September last year for a new series becoming ITV’s most successful drama launch of 2016 with 8.4 million viewers.
Sydney-based writer Mike Bullen said, “Twenty years ago, when Cold Feet began, I was just trying to write a show that would amuse and hopefully move my own generation. That remains the aim. It’s just that, with the passage of time, we’re a generation older. We don’t face the same issues, but there are still issues to be faced. I think that’s why the reboot worked.”
The new series is currently filming in Manchester to air later this year starring James Nesbitt, Robert Bathurst, Hermione Norris, John Thomson and Fay Ripley.
