UK comedy The League of Gentlemen is planning an anniversary special.
The BBC series ran from 1999 to 2002, written by and starring Mark Gatiss, Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith.
The black comedy, co-written by Jeremy Dyson, was set in a fictional northern UK town and focused on the lives of some very strange townspeople.
Gatiss received some praise from film director – and son of David Bowie – Duncan Jones, and he responded with a tweet, “Hi @ManMadeMoon Thanks so much for your kind words Big fan. You may be pleased to know that we’re planning a League anniversary special!”
Shearsmith and Pemberton later collaborated again on dark comedies Psychoville and Inside No.9, while Gatiss has gone on to co-create and star in Sherlock.
