Eden Gaha departs Endemol Shine US

Aussie-expat-turned-US-TV-exec Eden Gaha is on the move.

Aussie-expat-turned-US-TV-exec Eden Gaha is departing as unscripted president of Endemol Shine North America.

Gaha, who began his career at Nine, joined Shine America in 2011, prior to its merger with Endemol, helped oversee the launch of MasterChef Junior, MasterChef and the overall MasterChef franchise.

“After 15 years in unscripted television, going from PA to President, it’s time for me to move on to the next challenge,” Gaha said in a statement. “While it’s difficult to say goodbye to such an incredible team at Endemol Shine, I’m excited by the opportunities that have come my way and look forward to soon sharing details of my new venture.”

Prior to joining Shine America, Gaha worked at Mark Burnett Productions, where he was showrunner and executive producer on Celebrity Apprentice for five seasons. He also worked on Survivor, The Contender, Pirate Master, Rock Star, Hunted, Restaurant Startup, Billion Dollar Buyer, Page Six, Superhuman and Ambulance.

Gaha, was once named as one of the most influential unscripted executives by Variety.

In 2010 he told TV Tonight, “I think in life you make very clear choices about who you are and what you want to do,” he says. “One of the things I realised was I was never going to be taken seriously unless I just became a Producer.”
