Filming is currently underway in Sydney on a second season of The Secret Daughter produced by Screentime for Seven.
Jessica Mauboy, who was nominated for a Logie, reprises her role as Billie Carter now having turned her back on the Norton clan and a record deal, left wondering who she is and where she belongs.
Also returning are Matt Levett, David Field, Rachel Gordon, Bonnie Sveen, Jared Turner, Jordan Hare, Terry Serio and J.R. Reyne. Joining the case are James Sweeny (Molly, Neighbours) and Rachael Maza (Radiance).
The series is expected to screen later this year, with Season 2 of Wanted next on the way for Seven.
Season 2 is Executive Produced by Rory Callaghan for Screentime and Julie McGauran for Seven, with Producers Kerrie Mainwaring and Lauren Edwards, and Directors Paul Maloney, Geoff Bennett and Catriona McKenzie.

I loved it last year.
Original.
An instant hit.
Looks expensive to produce however, hopefully more episodes (like with 800 Words after the first season)
Nice . Appreciate the info
Any info of how many episodes this season ? 6 episodes is not really a season ..
It is these days!
Seven is always gun-shy on how many eps of their shows for fear of tipping off the opposition in scheduling. I would expect same as last year.
According to Screen Australia’s Upcoming Productions site, there will be 480 minutes produced for series 2 – so 8 episodes?
