FOX Footy says sorry after Danny Frawley mocked the historic Shanghai AFL game.

FOX Sports has apologised for comments made on The Bounce which have been labelled as racist.

Frawley feigned an insulting “Asian” commentary before a further joke about Chinese menus.

A FOX Footy spokesperson said, “It was never Danny’s intention to upset or disrespect anyone and we apologise to anyone who may have taken offence.”

  1. It was an absolute desecrate what FOX Footy did. Not only that fact that Frawley did it in the first place and the rest of then sat around laughing, but how & why did FOX Footy even air it???? This is happening all the time these days. Almost ever week now you hear of stories like this. The panelists will get a slap on the wrist and probably lunch and a few beers bought for them by their bosses.

Someone needs to harden up and fire someone over this otherwise it will just keep on happening again and again and again..

I didnt see the “Front Bar” show last week, but I did see the Sam Pang thing on the commercials and it was very funny.

Probably, & it shouldn’t really surprise anyone. After all, it’s the same way the leagues deal with player racism, sexism, drunkeness, drug-taking, pretend-dog-shagging, casino-floor-urinating, …

Treating commentators & other Heroes Of The Game any differently would be a double-standard, wouldn’t it? ;)

  2. Not condoning the accented commentary but again it seems to be a few white SJWs on Twitter getting outraged on everybody’s behalf.

  3. I love Bounce and Danny but this attempt at humour in regards to the commentary skit was way off the mark and yes very insulting indeed. I actually cringed while watching it on Sunday. I didn’t have a problem with the Chinese menu joke though.

  4. How is this any different to Sam Pang’s joke on Thursday night on 7? He also pulled out a Chinese takeaway menu, calling it the official AFL record. Does he get away with it because he’s Asian?
