  1. How refreshing is it to see a reality show where the judges & contestants get along so well, how the contestants support each other even though they are competitors! Looks like it’s going to be another great season and can’t wait for tonight 🙂

  2. I don’t think I am the only one getting very tired of Channel 7 playing the bad boy-girl card in their reality shows. I used to really like House Rules but already really over seeing the two women being made the centre of attention like they did with Josh on MKR for controversy sake.

    1. The atrocious editing on House Rules this season (filmed in 2016) has ruined it. They chop out so much of the Reno timeline and show contestants reactions completely out of order/context. Throw in the new rules and bonus room, it’s just completely random who gets to the top of the leader board.

  3. Watched The Aliens on iView last night. What a mess. Tried way too hard to be hip with lots of pointless camera zooms and intrusive amped up music whenever something dramatic was occurring. Didn’t finish the ep.

In contrast, the finale of The Night Manager was sublime. The third ep of The Young Pope was also an improvement over the second, which was an improvement over the first. If it continues on this trajectory, the last episode will be in Breaking Bad territory.

      1. Well, to be fair, The Aliens had aired & finished in the UK before Cleverman had even aired here.

In other news: is this the first time ever that we’ve gotten through Masterchef qualifying without once hearing the word “Nonna”?

      2. I didn’t mind the metaphor and am fine with it not being sci-fi, it just wasn’t good. Cordon and District 9 treated similar material much better.

  4. I love The Office and Parks and Rec. So my new favourite mockumentary is Trial and Error – sadly with numbers like this I will have to chase it around the schedule shortly.
