  1. Interestingly, the 16-39 has sport (AFL at least) at No. 1 and well ahead of the news and any other program – ABC doesn’t seem to go great with the younger set and the share watching news continues to decline.

      1. Huh? SBS does have ads.

The reasons why ABC and SBS don’t appear at the top of the age demos are different and nothing to do with whether they show ads or not.

SBS programs simply don’t have the numbers of any age group except for rare one-offs such as Eurovision.

ABC often has the raw numbers but they skew older so they don’t usually appear in the Top 5 for demos under 55.

  2. Another “Pirate’s n Potter” weekend. A bit if a worry when a movie in prime-time rates less than Peppa Pig or Shaun the Sheep! I’ve watched a Penn full of Magic and an Ocean of Pirates…We want something else, We want something else! It’s no wonder that viewers are turning off FTA.

    1. This’ll sound odd, but Seven wouldn’t care.

Their efforts are put into AFL on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays to win the night and make money.

The movies in Sydney and Brisbane are just fillers (albeit they’d still want to see solid results).

      Case in point last night.

  3. Looks like the lowest main channel share for Nine so far this year on a Saturday, close to Ten’s!

Seriously time to ditch The Voice repeats.

Great to see the ABC serving up good programming (bar footy) on Saturdays and being rewarded.
