Anderson laughs off ‘misunderstanding’ after Wagga arrest

A funny thing happened on the way to Wagga Wagga show, for Wil Anderson.

Comedian Wil Anderson was arrested after an incident on a flight from Sydney to Wagga Wagga yesterday.

Reports allege a 43 year old man was disruptive passenger on an incoming flight from Sydney.

Anderson was taken to Wagga Wagga police station for questioning and later released without charge.

A tweet was deleted: “A big f*** you to the crew at Qantas for their no help today. Sorry Wagga if I can’t walk when I get off the plane today,”

The Gruen host, who suffers from osteoarthritis, later said, “I have a sore back and I was up and about pacing and there was a misinterpretation of my intentions in my pacing. I was just trying to stretch out my back.”

His comedy show Critically Wil went ahead as planned at the Civic Theatre on Saturday night.

  1. Unless you suffer this condition….you just have no idea of the pain involved….I am thinking pacing is preferable to involuntary yelling at the top of your lungs…..before you criticize ..’walk a mile in my shoes’…
