US actress Glenne Headly, best known for Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Lonesome Dove and Monk, has died, aged 62.
“It is with deep sorrow that we confirm the passing of Glenne Headly,” her representative said in a statement. “We ask that her family’s privacy be respected in this difficult time.”
She was in production on the Hulu comedy series Future Man, which stars Ed Begley Jr., at the time of her death. A cause of death has not been revealed.
Headly got her start in theatre and went on to star in more than 25 films including Doctor Detroit, Fandango, The Purple Rose of Cairo, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Sgt. Bilko, Mr. Holland’s Opus, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen and Dick Tracy.
She was nominated for an Emmy for Lonesome Dove and Bastard Out of Carolina. Other TV credits included ER, Encore! Encore!, The Night Of and Monk.
Sony Pictures Television said Headly’s role would not be recast on Future Man but that she would remain in the episodes completed so far.

Loved her in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels as the clever master con, i could have sworn she was in alot more comedy movies of the era but a search reveals not so.
A class act.
Gone way too soon! A fascinating actress to watch; she had an interesting voice and physical presence in her roles. One can only imagine the chemistry that Glenne had with ex husband John Malkovich! She will be missed.
