Andrew Creer joining Lethal Weapon

US action series finds an Aussie link thanks to Barracuda performer, Andrew Creer.

Aussie Andrew Creer (Barracuda, Tomorrow When the War Began) is joining US action series Lethal Weapon, which I guess keeps an Aussie link to the show given Mel Gibson is nowhere to be seen.

The Hollywood Reporter notes he will have a recurring role in season 2 as Zach Bowman, a good-looking, eager detective on the robbery / homicide division who partners with Detective Bailey (Michelle Mitchenor).

Zach is described as the type who continually steps into good fortune, and through a few lucky heroic moments on the job, has climbed the ranks quickly. He becomes the poster child for the LAPD, literally, as they are in need of good press after the series of disasters that Riggs (Clayne Crawford) and Murtaugh (Damon Wayans) leave in their wake.

Creer, who studied at the Australian Academy of Performing Arts, also has roles in the upcoming films Rip Tide and Hurt.

The Lethal Weapon series adaptation screens in Australia on Nine.
