Ben Lawson joins Designated Survivor

Aussie Ben Lawson is joining the second season of Designated Survivor, starring Kiefer Sutherland.

He will play Damian Rennett, an MI6 operative who meets Maggie Q’s Hannah while undercover in Amsterdam.

Lawson’s previous TV credits also include Doubt, Secrets & Lies, Covert Affairs and, of course, Neighbours.

Earlier this month, Paulo Costanzo (Royal Pains) was was cast as the new White House Political Director brought on by Emily to help a presidency struggling with its messaging and political strategy.

Designated Survivor screens in Australia via Netflix, but a return date is yet to be confirmed.
