ABC shows beat Seven, TEN on Tuesday.

Ratings: 7:30 & The House pip Hell's Kitchen & Shark Tank. Nine wins Tuesday.

ABC shows managed to again eclipse several offered by Seven and TEN again last night.

7:30 and The House with Annabel Crabb were second in their slot, pipping both Hell’s Kitchen Australia and Shark Tank. ABC News also bettered Seven & TEN offerings whilst Catalyst landed ahead of NCIS.

But it was Nine that again enjoyed the early evening rewards with wins for Nine News, ACA, The Block, True Story and Kath & Kim.

The Chase won for Seven while the news battle remained its usual tight tussle.

Nine network won Tuesday with 30.9% then Seven 26.5%, TEN 18.1%, ABC 17.8% and SBS 6.7%.

The Block was #1 for Nine with 1.09m viewers followed by Nine News (989,000 / 981,000), A Current Affair (887,000), True Story with Hamish & Andy (760,000), Hot Seat (511,000 / 279,000) and Kath & Kim (433,000 / 346,000).

Seven News (1.04m / 965,000) was best for Seven followed by Home and Away (659,000), The Chase (626,000 / 400,000) and a double Hell’s Kitchen Australia (504,000 / 488,000) which managed a decent retention. Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares USA was 240,000.

The Project (557,000 / 381,000) led for TEN then Shark Tank (458,000), TEN Eyewitness News (452,000), NCIS (409,000 / 300,000) and Family Feud (332,000).

ABC News (789,000), 7:30 (652,000), The House with Annabel Crabb (634,000), Catalyst (439,000) and City in the Sky (273,000) comprised ABC’s night.

On SBS it was Spying on the Royals (275,000), Insight (228,000), SBS World News (157,000) and River Cottage Australia (110,000).

Shaun the Sheep was high at 268,000 on multichannels.

  1. DK – are seven playing double eps of Hells Kitchen now? If so, do you know how many are left, very keen to see what Seven place in next to build on their lower current numbers

  2. We just needed Kerry Packer ready at the phone to literally “get that s–t off the air” – I’ve enjoyed the show, but i think last night was probably a bit too much on the detail and it starts to blur from funny into just well…. s–t

    1. Yes I tweeted that it was a TMI episode and would require parental supervision. I see it divided people on social media, and H&A said it went all the way to the top of the network for approval. I can see why it was last episode to run.

      1. Did they film more than 10 people telling stories, meaning there were others worse than last night’s that didn’t make the cut? Or did they air everyone who told their story? I’m a Hamish & Andy fan, but last night’s was terrible.
