Some readers have been asking about new US drama The Mist produced for Spike TV and based on a Stephen King horror novella.
This launches next Friday, August 25 on Netflix.
It premiered in the US in June where it received mixed reviews.
Based on a story by Stephen King, The Mist centers around a small town family that is torn apart by a brutal crime. As they deal with the fallout an eerie mist rolls in, suddenly cutting them off from the rest of the world, and in some cases, each other. Family, friends and adversaries become strange bedfellows, battling the mysterious mist and its threats, fighting to maintain morality and sanity as the rules of society break down.
The ten episode drama series is based on a story by Stephen King and was developed for television by Christian Torpe. The Mist is produced by TWC-Dimension Television and stars Morgan Spector, Alyssa Sutherland, Gus Birney, Danica Curcic, Okezie Morro, Luke Cosgrove, Darren Pettie, Russell Posner, Dan Butler, Isiah Washington, Jr. and Frances Conroy.The executive producers are Christian Torpe, Amanda Segel, Bob Weinstein, Harvey Weinstein and David Glasse.
Friday August 25 on Netflix.

This has been so so good. So much better than the movie…..
It is similar to Under the Dome and the quality is patchy.
Sounds something like another ‘Under the dome’, in that case it probably should be avoided at all costs
Anyone who saw the Mist movie will wonder what to expect if the producers intend to make more than one season.
