“Amber Harrison: Guilt-free TV” campaign on GoFundMe

"If each viewer gave just $1 each, Amber could easily pay off Seven," says GoFundMe page, "knowing your favourite network didn't bankrupt anyone."

Former Seven executive assistant Amber Harrison has launched a GoFundMe campaign hoping to raise monies towards her legal fees.

The former lover of CEO Tim Worner has set a target of $200,000 on the site following her very public legal battles with Seven West Media.

Harrison has been ordered to pay SWM legal fees after agreeing to a suppression order.

“Channel Seven makes great TV shows which are loved by millions of Australians,” the campaign page says.

“Sadly, some recent legal issues mean the network may end up bankrupting former employee and single foster-mum Amber Harrison. Legal restrictions prevent Amber from telling you what happened. Google is under no such restrictions.”

The campaign is strategically pitched as “Amber Harrison: Guilt-free TV.”

“Seven has literally millions of viewers. If each viewer gave just $1 each, Amber could easily pay off Seven, and you could enjoy Seven’s shows, knowing your favourite network didn’t bankrupt anyone.
For just $1, enjoy Guilt-free TV.”

Seven West Media claims to have paid the former executive assistant thousands of dollars in private settlements but Harrison claimed agreed figures were not fulfilled. The broadcaster famously won its protracted legal battle, albeit with damaging headlines.

Since launching on Monday 70 people have donated $2,220 towards Harrison’s $200k goal.

Earlier this month blogger Shane Dowling was sentenced to 4 months imprisonment for contempt of court relating to his reportage of the case.

  1. No thanks – maybe you should have thought about the consequences on yourself, career and family before you entered into an affair with a married man. Why should the world bail you out when you make mistakes?

  2. I hate the way AH has been treated and fell TW has got away unscathed, this seems unfair. However AH went a step to far with the Jane Doe allegations. You gotta have absolute proof before you come out with that sorta stuff. I hope she raises the $$$ though

  3. Worner might have to launch his own GoFundMe page since he’s lost his performance bonus and taken a $450k hit to the hip-pocket, according to Seven West’s annual report.
