Mark Beretta in good spirits after water-skiing injury

Sunrise go-to sports guy Mark Beretta is nursing an injured leg after a water skiing accident in Queensland.

On Instagram he wrote, “Not the way I’d planned my wonderful water ski day to end. Fell awkwardly in a slalom turn and have broken my knee cap and torn my quadracep muscle off the bone. Awaiting surgery. Thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Sunshine Coast University Hospital and Royal North Shore for their wonderful care. Be back on my feet soon!”

Yesterday he added, “Got the works – Ice, brace, compression machine, compression socks.. tad of surgery soon, bit of rehab and then better than ever! Thanks to the amazing medical professionals who have helped me. And thanks Cats for an uplifting win! Be watching a lot of footy today.”
